Catching Up on Life Goals – 2025

Last year had a-lot of highs and lows.

I was able to build a great team of product managers at Phrase, travelled to 12 countries: Georgia, Dubai, Oman, United States, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, Sweden, France, Greece. Participated in come great IT conferences in Poland.

While at the same time, in the same week got a termination notice of our lease agreement for our apartment in Warsaw, Poland after 4 years of living there as well as a termination notice of my employment contract (layoffs) at Phrase, which resulted in making a couple of important decisions really quick on what’s next.

We ultimately moved to Gdynia, Poland, which so far has turned to be a great decision and me deciding to take it easy for the remainder of the year, while catching on all things AI and building small side projects to implement those learning as I go.

As January flew by really quick, with family visits, launching new projects & sunsetting other ones, taking part in my first trail run (5k) and slowly materializing a plan for 2025.

2025 Goals – The What & Why:

$10,000/mo from online projects

Allows me the financial freedom not to rely on a salary as the primary means of income, allowing me to focus on building projects that interest me, I have leverage over and design my life the way I want to pursue it.

I’ve reached this goal once before, when running a web dev agency (2016-2022), but that’s a terrible business model in the longterm, that ultimately burned me out and affected alot of my relationships. This time around, I’ll be focusing only on digital products, be it one-time payment or SaaS. Having worked went through the full cycle in my career of back-end dev => product manager => agency owner => mid-level mgmt at b2b enterprise SaaS, I feel pretty good about achieving this goal.

1,000 newsletter subscribers

Newsletter subscribers is the atomic unit (for me) behind building a social media following. It’s an audience you own, no matter the platform changes you rely on to reach a wide audience.

Any future career move, product launch or networking I want to do would be 10x easier, since I no longer post into the ether, have some trust and don’t have rely on paid media to get the word out.

This seems like the least confident thing on the list, marketing not being my strong side. But then again, knowing my weak points, I know what to focus on.

90kg – gets me to healthy BMI

Majority of my health problems are directly tied to being overweight, diet being the single most important components here, affecting my liver, sleep patterns and mental capacity.

Even though I work out regularly and been pretty active in variety of sports, but for the past 15 years I’ve been overweight. Always putting cleaning up my habits, on the back burner. The time has come.

Side Quests:

  • Getting my offshore skipper license.
  • Converting my U.S Drivers License to PL DL.
  • Getting in 30 kitesurfing sessions this season.
  • Finish 3 semesters of my long due undergrad degree.

The Starting Point:

MRR: $0,000.

Newsletter: 26 people.

Weight: 110kg.

Stats for the last 28 days for my accounts on SM.

The Plan

I could lay out a step-by-step roadmap (and I did before writing this post), but instead of just telling, I’ll be showing—documenting the wins, failures, and lessons along the way.

This year is about building, learning, and sharing the process in real time. If you’re interested in entrepreneurship, digital products, or just watching someone figure things out as they go, you might find something valuable here.
